VLINK Wins the Order for Western Dedicated Freight Corridor substations – 09.01.25

Announcing the Win of Integrated Network for Supply Installation and commissioning of Access control, Fire Alarm, and CCTV system for WDFC from Makarpura Vododara to Rewadi Gurgaon, Substations over a stretch of 950 kms.

Under this Project, VLINK will supply and Install Fire Alarm System in 16 Main Traction Substations 98 smaller Substations (SP-SSP-ATS) that are Un Manned.

VLINK will also supply and Install Access Control for the Buildings in order to allow approved professionals and Engineers to enter the Substations daily routine Operations of Railways for intruder preventions. This will also aid the central monitoring system to evaluate Door opening and closing time during daily operations of Railways using SCADA RTU. CCTV systems in the Main 16 Substations for improving the safety and security of the Freight operations.

The project is expected to be commissioned in 16 weeks time.

About WDFC

The Western Dedicated Freight Corridor or Western DFC is a 1,506 km long, under-construction 1,676 mm (5 ft 6 in) freight corridor in India. It will connect Dadri in Uttar Pradesh (near Delhi) with the Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Navi Mumbai, Raigad District, Maharashtra. The corridor is being built by the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), a public-sector unit (PSU) under the Ministry of Railways and would be electrified with double-line operation. The Western DFC entails a new single-line branch from Prithla in Palwal district to Tughlakabad in Delhi, running parallel to the existing New Delhi–Faridabad–Palwal railway line.

The Western DFC is exclusively for transporting freight at higher speeds with increased load carrying capacity.
